Privacy policy
How we handle names, phone numbers, job photos, pesticide records and website analytics.
This Privacy policy explains how One Stop Pest Management Services (“we”, “us”, Brad Watkins) handles personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as a matter of policy, including if a small-business turnover exemption would otherwise apply. Some pesticide records are also required by NSW law.
1. Who we are
One Stop Pest Management Services, Brad Watkins, Albion Park NSW 2527. Licence 5072681. Phone 0410 890 387. Email onestopbrad@hotmail.com. Privacy questions go to that email or phone.
2. What we collect
We collect information you give us and information we create on the job:
- name, phone, email, suburb, street address, site type (home, cafe, warehouse);
- the pest, photos you send, and messages;
- booking times, quotes, invoices, payment references (we do not store full card numbers on this website);
- pesticide records: product name, amount, where and when it was applied, who applied it, wind for outdoor spray, and the occupier’s details — required by the Pesticides Regulation 2017 (NSW);
- photographs of evidence, access, bait-station locations and completed work;
- health-related information only if you volunteer it so we can work safely (for example pregnancy, asthma, chemical sensitivity, a child’s presence). That is sensitive information. We use it only to choose a product, a time, or a preparation step, and to brief the technician;
- information about pets, fish tanks, bees and livestock you tell us about;
- server logs (IP address, pages, approximate location derived by the host) for security;
- analytics described below.
You do not have to give us information. If you refuse a phone number or an address we may not be able to quote or attend. If you refuse information the pesticide laws require us to record, we may not be able to treat.
We do not want tax file numbers, Medicare numbers, or copies of licences unless a commercial account truly needs an identity check — we will ask first.
3. Why we collect it (APP 3 and 6)
- to quote, book, navigate to the site, and carry out pest management;
- to take payment and issue invoices;
- to meet NSW EPA licensing, notification and record-keeping rules;
- to tell you re-entry times and follow up a job;
- to deal with insurers, Fair Trading, NCAT or the EPA if there is a claim or investigation;
- to improve the website (aggregated analytics);
- to send a service reminder only if you asked for one. We do not buy or sell mailing lists. Direct marketing by email or SMS complies with the Spam Act 2003 — you can opt out on every message or by asking us.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have a legal effect. We do not sell personal information.
4. Who we disclose it to
- Form provider: website quote forms currently post to FormSubmit for delivery to onestopbrad@hotmail.com. Their systems process the message so it can reach us. Read their terms on formsubmit.co.
- Web support: submissions may be copied to hello@techaidaustralia.com.au (Tech Aid Australia) so the form can be tested and the site maintained. They are not permitted to use enquiries for their own marketing.
- Hosting: the site is hosted by Vercel. Logs and the files that make up the site sit on their infrastructure.
- Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics (page views) and Google Analytics (measurement ID G-X15WG0G8LQ).
- Email and phone providers that carry our ordinary communications.
- Regulators and courts when required (NSW EPA, Fair Trading, police, a court or tribunal).
- Insurers and professional advisers if there is a claim, a complaint, or we need accounting or legal help.
- A body corporate, landlord or employer if they are the client and you are the occupant we attended for them — limited to what the job requires.
We do not disclose your information for a benefit, service or advantage to data brokers. We are not a credit reporting body.
5. Overseas disclosure
Some processors (including Google and Vercel) may store or access data outside Australia, including in the United States. We cannot guarantee that overseas privacy laws are the same as the Australian Privacy Principles. By using the website and sending a form, you consent to that overseas processing for the purposes above. You can instead phone or post if you do not want a web form to leave Australia.
6. How long we keep it
- pesticide use records — at least 3 years (NSW law);
- invoices and tax records — at least 5 years (tax law);
- quotes that did not proceed — usually up to 2 years, then deleted unless a complaint is open;
- photos of jobs — with the job file for the record period, or longer if a claim is reasonably possible;
- analytics — according to Google’s and Vercel’s retention settings, currently used to see which pages are read, not to identify you to advertisers.
When we no longer need information we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it, unless a law says keep it.
7. Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Forms use the form provider’s transport. Phones, inboxes and job photos are kept on devices and accounts we control with ordinary passwords and device lock. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. Do not email information you consider highly sensitive if you are not comfortable with email.
If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess it under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and notify you and the OAIC when that scheme requires it.
8. Cookies, analytics and this website
Vercel Web Analytics counts visits. It is described by Vercel as cookieless and is not used to serve ads.
Google Analytics (G-X15WG0G8LQ) may set cookies or use similar identifiers to recognise a returning browser, see which pages were read, and from which device type. We do not run Google Ads from this site and we do not sell analytics data. You can block cookies in your browser. The site will still work. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com.
We do not use the quote form to track you across other companies’ websites.
9. Access, correction, complaints and children
You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email onestopbrad@hotmail.com or call 0410 890 387. We will respond in a reasonable time. We may refuse in the limited situations the Privacy Act allows (for example legally privileged material) and we will say why.
If you are unhappy with our privacy handling, complain to us first. If we do not resolve it, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), 1300 363 992, oaic.gov.au.
This site is not directed at children under 15. Parents or guardians should submit quote forms for a family home. We do not knowingly market to children.
We may update this policy by posting a new version here. Material changes apply from the date stated at the top.
